NATURA BISSÉ INTERNATIONAL, S.A. was founded in Barcelona on June 7, 1979. It is wholly made up of Spanish capital and belongs almost in its entirety to the Fisas family. NATURA BISSÉ, an expert in cosmetic body and facial treatments owes its existence to Ricardo Fisas Mulleras. At the end of the 70′s, after having run a research laboratory dedicated to hydrolyzing collagen, elastin and keratin proteins through avant guarde methods which managed to break down the molecular protein chains into natural amino acids in free form, Mr. Fisas observed that these amino acids, in a free form and water soluble, could be easily absorbed and assimilated through the skin. His intuition led him to conclude that these amino acids in free form could be highly efficient active principles if employed in topical cosmetic treatments. Therefore, they tested the cosmetic effectiveness of amino acids in free form by carrying out a series of trials under clinical and hospital dermatological controls. Once the highly successful results were seen, Ricardo Fisas Mulleras decided to launch his product in the market.

In 2010, the luxury cosmetics firm based in Barcelona steadily continued its unprecedented path of expansion, strengthening its position in the 35 countries where it is already present and rapidly conquering new markets.
