A litle of history…
The brewery is well known in the area now, but it was a challenge from the start. The brew tanks and equipment had to be trucked down the Baja from the U.S. on three 18-wheels trucks. They were more than worried about the delivery… If there was an accident, or if a piece of equipment vibrated loose from one of the trucks, they could have been completely out of luck. Today, the construction and planning is all over. Thousands of visitors have tried the beers and experienced the first Baja Brewery.
Several years ago, Jordan Gardenhire started brewing beer in his college apartment in Colorado. Later he became an accredited brewer and member of the American Brewers Guild. Jordan’s business experience comes from running a successful franchise company in Boulder.
Charliejoined his son Jordan when he moved to Los Cabos a year later. Armed with an extensive background in
marketing and international tourism Charlie was keen to do a project in the Baja.
Rob Kelly joined the team next and brought with him experience in restaurant design and management. Having managed one of the most popular college bars in Boulder, Rob was excited to create a restaurant with a great atmosphere and excellent food.
The final member of the group is David Hatfield. David had previously managed a fishing fleet in Cabo and was ready for a new challenge. And so, with the team together, the brewery was born.
